Beginner-friendly shoulder exercises.

April 28, 2024 //  by HysterectomyFitness

Working your shoulders improves your balance and flexibility and allows you to do everyday tasks better. If you spend a lot of time sitting or hunched over, shoulder exercises can realign you and reduce stress.

As you work your shoulders, you may also feel it in your biceps and triceps.

There are a number of ways you can work your shoulders.

If you’re just getting started, feel free to work your shoulders without weights. Do some arm circles, or raise your arms up above your head and back down several times.

Additionally, if you’d prefer to sit down or stand while doing this exercise, you certainly can.

You may be surprised by how quickly you’ll start feeling the burn, even without weights.

You can also work your shoulders with weights or resistance bands, or as I sometimes do, on the Total Gym.

In this video, I’m going to show you how I work my shoulders using my Total Gym. I’m using a wing attachment while lying down and facing the base of the equipment.
