Hysterectomy Fitness(TM) Pink and white background with yellow ribbon. Lose weight. Balance hormones. Fix menopausal symptoms. [Allyson looks into camera:] Walking is a fantastic exercise for just about anyone, including those of us who've had a hysterectomy. It's certainly made a difference in the way my legs look and feel and also in my posture. In addition to walking regularly, I also incorporate modified squats. The Total Gym makes it easier for squats because it's back friendly and I can do them lying down. It also allows me to work my inner thighs, my outer thighs and other areas of my legs. So, in this routine, I'm gonna run you through a number of squats that I do on my Total Gym, and these are things I did before my hysterectomy and I continue to do today once I got my doctor's approval. All right, let's get to it. [Allyson transitions to the Total Gym.] [She's lying down with both her feet on the squat stand.] Squat with right leg lift and opposite hand reaching towards the toes.
